This title sequence was a challenge to animate using entirely physical methods. Following the supernatural, eery setting of a fictitious sci-fi horror
web television series, the off-kilter sequence of moving typography hints at themes of the show . . . including the distortion of time, cryptic messages, and mutation!

︎︎︎ The physical nature of the elements, removed from their real world context and viewed digitally on your screen, is both disconcerting and strangely familiar. This effect fuels the sequence’s supernatural tone.
︎︎︎ This project was just as much of a conceptual challenge as it was technical. Counter-intuitively, I restricted myself to objects in my household. This forced me to invent my own curious visual effects instead of following a detailed “recipe,” giving the sequence an unguided, human feel.
